The Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation (RCAF) was created in 2009 to meet the critical need for increases in private funding. In a short amount of time, the RCAF has worked with the Athletics Department to raise almost $7 million in unrestricted philanthropic donations, and millions more in restricted and endowed gifts. These funds have enabled the Ragin’ Cajuns to impact the greater community by attracting and retaining excellent coaches, increasing resources available for recruitment of high-quality student-athletes, making us Ragin’ Cajuns Strong.

Much of this funding was used in prior capital improvement projects including:

Installation of artificial turf at Cajun Field, M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field, and the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility

New scoreboards/video boards at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field, the Culotta Tennis Center, the soccer/track complex, Cajun Field, and Lamson Park

Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility

Complete renovation and expansion of Lamson Park

Bench-back seating on the west side of Cajun Field

These projects provided a great start and showed what can happen when devoted fans and supporters come together through the RCAF. But much more needs to be done. This is our time and we are determined to make the most of it.
